The 2013 Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition (LAGCOE), one of the world’s pioneer oil and gas expositions, has been fueling global energy solutions for almost 60 years, since 1955. One of the largest expositions of its kind in the United States, LAGCOE is held biennially in the heart of America’s energy corridor: Lafayette, Louisiana. This year’s took place October 22–24 in the Cajundome & Conference Center in Lafayette.
We bring you coverage of this conference as the oil and gas industry, with its ramp up of fracking technology and other oil and gas services, continues to drive demand for liquid nitrogen, its related technologies, and liquefied natural gas (LNG)-fueled equipment that are supplied and developed within the industrial gas industry.
This year’s event featured more than 400 exhibitors and drew approximately 14,000 attendees, including top decision-makers from around the world. The domed conference center and the surrounding parking lot were full of booths displaying equipment from all phases of oil and gas field operations. LAGCOE exhibitors and conference presenters showcased their latest tools, services, and technologies. LAGCOE also hosted its first ever Career Fair to assist participating employers address manpower requirements.
According to LAGCOE 2013 Chairman Kirby Arceneaux, of Environmental Drilling Solutions, “Exhibits and technical sessions addressed everything from conventional onshore and offshore activity to frontier and emerging plays, like the deep water Gulf of Mexico and unconventional resources.” Here is a sample of a few of the technology providers related to the industrial gas industry that had equipment on display at this year’s show.
