As the use of electronic communication devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops proliferates, it is evident that they have become an essential part of everyday modern life. At the heart of these devices lies the PCB (printed circuit board).
PCB manufacturers worldwide are continually improving their process and tightening their quality control to minimise any product failures.
The early production of PCB’s using large throughhole components and hand finishing with soldering irons are becoming a thing of the past with the rise of miniaturisation. Consumer demands dictate the majority of how electronics are developed. The requirement for smaller, lighter and more complex electronic devices is driving the increase in quality control and improved PCB manufacturing processes. The masses have zero tolerance of electronic device failure, especially as the financial outlay is increasing – smartphones being a case in point.
