A trio of entrepreneurs, who celebrated the 30th anniversary of their company Smith Flow Control (SFC), have reflected on the day they made the decision to launch the company – describing it as “second nature”.
SFC was formed in April 1985 by Malcolm Brown, Mike Smith and current managing director Mike D’Anzieri – with the trio first at identifying the need and potential for an integral valve interlock device.
Explaining more is Louise Cracknell, who said, “The Founders of SFC, Mike D’Anzieri, Mike Smith and Malcolm Brown, were all good friends in the engineering field. They came from a background of machine guarding and interlocking and setting up a business together seemed like a sensible next step.”
