In July 2016, ASCO Carbon Dioxide, LTD, a Switzerland-based corporation specializing in complete carbon dioxide (CO2) and dry ice solutions, opened its US subsidiary — ASCO Inc. — in Jacksonville, FL. Located in the southeast region of the US, an area of especially high demand for CO2 products and services, ASCO’s new office is well situated to supply that market.
ASCO General Manager Dan Gruber, who has extensive experience as a CO2 equipment and technology expert, explains, “In the first step of developing our US operation, we are mostly focusing on our dry ice blasting and dry ice production divisions. We want to introduce customers to the many great opportunities offered by in-house dry ice production.
“In a second step, we will evaluate the promotion of our CO2 plant technology, which is a very important part of our business. Our plant technology offers solutions for producing CO2 from an array of sources, including natural sources, stack gas from combustion of fossil fuels, breweries and other fermentation processes, exhaust gases from ammonia production, hydrogen reforming or ethylene oxide production, and other industrial sources.”
