April 2015 is a special month for gasworld magazine as it celebrates 10 years since the launch of the publication in 2005. A lot can change in a decade, from the ups and down in the global financial landscape, to technology evolution and the various devices that we have all become so familiar with.
It’s hard to believe that the iPhone is less than 10 years old, for example, having been launched by Apple Inc. in 2007. For many, it is hard to imagine a time when the iPhone did not exist; it has become so integral to their daily lives. Though perhaps not on the same scale, as we get out the party poppers and take a slice of birthday cake, we’d like to think that gasworld magazine has established a similarly significant presence at the forefront of the industrial gases business.
Launched 10 years ago, our mission was clear: to provide easy-to-read, insightful and engaging content about the global industrial gases business, its technologies and its vast array of end-user applications, all packaged in a convenient monthly magazine that could easily slip inside one’s briefcase. As the magazine became more eminent within the gases industry, that content evolved too – regularly publishing high profile interviews with some of the biggest names in the business and developing a collection of educational resources for the industry’s next generation.
