Welding distributor growth was lower sequentially in the first quarter (Q1) of 2019, according to the Baird/gasworld Q1 2019 Welding and Industrial Gas Survey, Metal Fabricator Channel Checks.
The survey got the opinions of 28 executives at industrial, scientific and welding gas/hardgoods distributors generating aggregate annualized revenues of >$1 billion, as well 13 executives at companies that provide metal fabrication services.
Growth slowed sequentially – the same as last quarter – but remains positive in Q1 2019.
