Continuing to lead everyday excellence – An interview with HEROSE GmbH

Think of a soft drinks producer. You’ll more than likely think of the red can of Coca-Cola, or the blue can of Pepsi. However, if you think of an industrial valve manufacturer there could be any number of companies one could think of. So how did HEROSE become one of the leaders in such a competitive sector?

After interviewing Herose’s Managing Director Dirk Zschalich, I came to understand it’s not just down to German engineering. A leading light in the industry now, due to the high-quality products it produces and the paramount importance it places on safety and best practice, the company actually began life in a different sector and made its first cryogenic valve in the late 1970s.

Current Managing Director Dirk Zschalich recalls, “In the 1980s HEROSE as a company was struggling as it was not competitive in the market and my father (Wilfried) was looking for an investor to change these fortunes.”
