Inspecting and testing high pressure cylinders and tubes on board a ship as it crossed the Atlantic was the latest assignment for Chesterfield Special Cylinders’ (CSC) global Integrity Management team, which prides itself on saving its customers costly downtime and working in all territories and conditions while delivering the world’s most comprehensive high pressure cylinder service.
All the cylinders and tubes were inspected, tested and even repaired without having to undergo the costly removal of them.
Alan Harding, Inspection Test Manager at CSC, explains, “The team manages the periodic inspection and testing of gas cylinders as required by legislation and a great number of our assignments involve attending to installations where the cylinders are impossible to remove – or where it would be very costly to remove them for inspection.”
