At a time when the world is awakened to the decarbonisation challenge it faces and the gases industry as a whole is focused on both meeting that need and reappraising its own footprint, the Nippon Sanso Holdings Group (NSHD) has unveiled a bold new carbon neutrality strategy.
The campaign, titled ‘We enable a carbon-neutral world’ and launched on 1st April, builds on a number of big projects and initiatives from the group over the past 12 months. In fact, over the last six months alone the group has been stepping up its efforts and positioning towards a carbon-neutral world, seen across a variety of ways.
In October (2021) for example, NSHD issued an Integrated Report 2021 that not only outlined the company’s current financial and structural progress, but also covered its characteristics, aspirations and value creation – not least its sustainability directives. These had been underlined just months before by the group’s European branch – Nippon Gases Europe – via its 2021 sustainability report and a new gold medal award for sustainability given by rating agency EvoVadis.
