Market trends, new technology, and environmental drivers have aligned to create new demands for dry ice and its production equipment. While industrial manufacturing (blast cleaning) continues to represent the largest share of the dry ice equipment market, growth in demand in other sectors, like food and beverage and agriculture, is notable. The rapid expansion of online ordering is also increasing the demand for dry ice, which is used as the logistical solution for transporting a wide range of temperature sensitive products.
More sophisticated technology, in particular automation, is making dry ice equipment more accessible to dry ice users and is creating a much broader customer base for these machines. Better CO2 recovery equipment, an important part of our goal to reduce CO2 emissions from manufacturing processes, is also opening up new sources for CO2 for dry ice production.
