With the recent passing away of Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, our thoughts reflect back to how he was able to make that giant leap for mankind, and to those who gave their all so that we could attain that national goal.
In a stirring speech to a special joint session of congress in 1961, President Kennedy inspired us to go to the moon: “For while we cannot guarantee that we shall one day be first, we can guarantee that any failure to make this effort will make us last.
