GAWDA, the Gases and Welding Distributors Association, continues to grow in the Northeast. For the first time ever, the regional meetings for Gettysburg and Atlantic City were combined to one meeting held in the Pennsylvania location, boasting guest speakers, a GAWDA update from association President Tom Biedermann (also VP of Airweld, Inc.), a golf outing, available battlefield tour, silent auction for the benefit of GAWDA Gives Back, and much more.
Held over two days Sept. 9 and 10, the 2015 GAWDA Gettysburg Regional Meeting was chaired by Doug Morton, the Vice President of Sales for Eleet Cryogenics, Inc. Eleet has been building a reputation in Eastern Ohio for nearly 20 years, and as Regional Chair, Morton hosted a total of 123 attendees at The Links at Gettysburg for the 2015 meeting.
A record attendance could be chalked up to both the fact that it was a combined regional and that it was the first time Gettysburg had essentially played host to two meetings, but either way, with 38 distributors representing 12 companies and 85 suppliers representing 63 companies on hand, including names like Air Products, Linde, and MATHESON, it was a marquee event one way or another.
