Though it may not be the first application that springs to mind when thinking of Cryostar, the medical sector has been a point of focus for the Hesingue-based company for several years.
Its products have been continuously updated and upgraded, accordingly, with the first step being the upgrade of its reciprocating pump range in order to fulfil most stringent requirements for medical applications. This involved extensive design work to incorporate new materials, as well as adequate risk analyses and extensive field tests, performed with success. All of which resulted in increased lifetimes and solutions that are now available for serial production.
In parallel, complete filling plant automated solutions were reviewed in order to cope with rigorous medical requirements.
