Dedicated to finding new sources of helium to serve the growing needs of the technology and space exploration industries, North American Helium, Inc. was founded in 2013.
The Calgary-based private helium exploration and production company acquired rights to explore for and produce helium on an expanding property base of 1.4 million acres in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. So far, it has drilled 10 wells and discovered three new helium fields.
“Our company was founded in the belief that the best new source of helium supply is the field that hasn’t been discovered yet, rather than the existing discovery that hasn’t been exploited yet,” said Founder, Chairman and CEO Nick Snyder. He was speaking at gasworld’s Global Helium Summit 2018 in Houston last year, where he explained to delegates the numerous geologic, logistical and regulatory advantages in Southwest Saskatchewan that will allow companies like North American Helium to bring significant new helium production online in a short span of time.
