There is a sense of real momentum in the hydrogen transport industry right now.
Numerous projects, such as Hydrogen Transport in European Cities (HyTEC) and Clean Hydrogen in European Cities (CHIC) across the EU and the London Hydrogen Network Expansion (LHNE) in the UK, continue to demonstrate that hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) are a viable alternative to conventionally-fuelled road transport.
At the same time, car manufacturers remain committed to making FCEVs publicly available in 2015; while fuelling infrastructure is gradually widening in anticipation of large-scale FCEV deployment. With the network of refuelling stations growing in the UK and further afield, it is essential that technological advancements continue across the supply chain to help meet this increased demand for hydrogen.
