As revealed exclusively to gasworld last year by Italy-headquartered SIAD Macchine Impianti, while capacities may generally be ever-increasing across the globe, air separation units (ASUs) are becoming smaller and more efficient. But why?

SIAD’s modular Smart Liquid Plant, is a new concept of oxygen and nitrogen production plants. After over a year of planning and preparation, the modular Smart Liquid Plant was presented at gasworld’s Singapore conference in November 2014. The reason for the modular approach is, according to SIAD, in response to the market wanting to overcome bottlenecks with ‘scalable’ installations. This is to meet the ever-stronger need for comprehensiveness and flexibility in the market. From an industrial – as well as financial – standpoint, gas users want solutions in order to address production cycles with operational and economic efficiency.
