In focus…Cryogenic flow control equipment

As demand for alternative fuels continues to grow, storage and transport efficiency continues to be the major driving force pushing cryogenic equipment forward.

A decade ago, the industry experienced an almost mutually exclusive domain of flow controls – high pressure, ambient temperature equipment for CNG, cryogenic low-pressure equipment for LNG, and both at relatively small diameters. In recent years, the industry has witnessed a convergence of domains. High flow LNG lines require higher and higher pressure ratings, from class 150 to 600, 900 and now as high as 2,500 and beyond.

Nowadays, class 2,500 cryogenic valves are fast becoming an integral part of most project supplies.
