After exploring what’s hot in cryogenic valves earlier this year, high pressure valves and regulators are in focus this month as we explore the growth drivers and technological trends that companies in this field are witnessing.
Across all of the companies that responded to gasworld’s questioning this spring, there was a unity in many of the opinions – that there is growing demand for increased pressure.
Sherwood Valve described the ‘demand for high pressure liquid and gas applications. A spokesman from the company said, “High pressure cylinder manufacturers and users require valves designed to protect and extend the life of the cylinder as well as protect the user. With this in mind, the demand for Residual Pressure Valves (RPV) in the North American market is increasing. Our valves prevent the backflow of impurities and foreign substances and protects the cylinder contents without the expense of a time-consuming purge-and-clean cycle.”
