In this article, I’d like to share some insights into what we’ve seen so far in the pandemic and what trends we expect to continue. I’ll start with analyzing some data and then share some thoughts.
Analysis of Covid’s impact on sales
For this analysis, we are looking at the number of delivered, barcoded cylinders for 30 independent US gas distributors of various sizes and geographies. All have been using TrackAbout since at least early 2018 so that they have fully rolled out cylinder tracking and we are not getting any ‘lift’ in the numbers from a company that is in the process of rolling out a tracking system. The count of delivered cylinders was measured each quarter for each company and the results are all taken together to give a picture of activity in the industry.
