In this issue of gasworld US, we focus our attention on cryogenic applications and their related technology. As the recognized global brand for the design and manufacture of cryogenic equipment used from the beginning to the end in the liquid gas supply chain, we turned to Chart’s President of Distribution and Storage for his views on performance and innovation in the highly specialized world of cryogenic equipment.
gasworld: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us. We understand your appointment as President of Chart’s Distribution and Storage (D&S) group is the result of many proven years of success at Chart, including President of D&S Americas. What can you tell us about the challenges and rewards of leading the worldwide group as you approach the end of your first year in this position?
Bill Haukoos: I have had the pleasure of working at Chart and a predecessor company for the past 20 years. During this time, Chart’s D&S group has grown considerably in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. The global nature of Chart’s business and operations certainly adds complexity but it also provides significant advantages in terms of serving customers in regional markets. The most rewarding part of my job is working with Chart customers and employees around the world.
