Over 90 years ago, Christian Nielsen established the Danish company Strandmøllen A/S, a name that has now become synonymous with the gases industry in Scandinavia.
Educated in Germany as a merchant in steel pipes, Nielsen wanted to return to Denmark to manufacture bicycles – but found there was no gases industry to fuel such a manufacturing operation. And so, the Strandmøllen story began with Nielsen’s decision to begin production of oxygen and acetylene in 1917.
Since then the company has focused on fulfilling the needs of its customers, big and small, across sectors like the iron and steel industry, the food industry, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, laboratories and the environment sector.
