I can remember earlier in my career when I was so stressed out that I wanted to swap places with the guy with a sign on the street corner begging for money. He didn’t appear to have a care in the world, while I was so busy trying to be successful that I felt like I was carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders.
Unfortunately, my preoccupation with this stress factor was also a big detriment to my sales success.
How many times have you been so upset with yourself over stress and anxiety that you felt like screaming, “I’ve got to find a way to Just Get Over it!”? When is success not happiness? When does striving for success cause us to prevent success?
