Meeting End User Needs

ITW Welding North America (ITW) (www. itwwelding.com) is composed of a marketleading portfolio of best-in-class welding brands, including Miller, Tregaskiss, Hobart Brothers, MAXAL, Hobart Welders, Bernard, Smith, and Weldcraft. In August 2010, Miller’s market research team embarked on a study to determine if the perceptions of welding distributors were in line with the expectations of industry end users.

Sets of 15 comparable questions were asked of distributors and end users that unearthed an underlying perception gap between where distributors think they are, and where their customers want them to be, in terms of overall service. This article highlights the key findings of the study that were presented at the September GAWDA conference in Hawaii.
