We are in the business of manufacturing artificial atmospheres. For want of a simpler explanation, that’s what we do. We start off with a perfectly fine atmosphere that surrounds our Earth and, through our special magic, we separate it into its individual components.
We then proceed to reassemble these components into new and different atmospheres, each with a particular purpose, package this special atmosphere, and deliver it to its appropriate end use application.
We give each of these new atmospheres a name that implies the application; names like shield gases, diving mixtures, inerting atmospheres, purge gases, biological atmospheres, deep breathing gases, forming gases, heat treating mixes just to name a few. The problem is that the normal atmosphere that surrounds us is perfect for our human-dependent application, but detrimental to the quality and function of many other technical processes in which we are involved.
