Pittcon Celebrates 60 Years

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy is a Pennsylvania not-for-profit, educational corporation organized by the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh (SSP) and the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh (SACP).

Since 1950 this organization has produced “Pittcon,” the world’s premier Conference and Exposition devoted to laboratory science.

The conference regularly attracts 20,000 to 25,000 attendees from industry, academia and government from 80 countries worldwide and over 1,200 exhibiting companies. An important part of the Conference is its over 2,000 technical papers and presentations that describe the latest advances in laboratory instrumentation, supplies and services. Pittcon represents an unparalleled opportunity to network with exhibitors, conferees and recognized scientists in similar disciplines.

New to this year’s Conference is the Green Corner. This will be an area on the floor where attendees can go to learn about green chemistry solutions, resource conservation and pollution prevention techniques.
