Praxair’s North American Specialty Gases Business

In this feature we interview Praxair’s James Baughman, about the company’s North American specialty gases business.

CryoGas International (CryoGas): Could you briefly explain the make-up and scope of PDI’s operations, and a little about the management of PDI?

James Baughman (Baughman): John Panikar is the President with responsibility for the PDI business. He has extensive experience, having worked for Praxair’s electronics business, Praxair Asia, and Praxair India, and was Vice President of Praxair’s North American bulk business in the Southern Region before moving to PDI as our President. I lead our North American Specialty Gas & Equipment business unit, a part of PDI that operates in the US and Canada. The specialty gases market in Mexico is part of our Praxair Mexico business.
