Nearly 20,000 solar experts from around the world traveled to San Francisco in July to connect with solar professionals and attend specialized workshops and seminars during Intersolar North America’s fourth and largest annual exhibition and conference. Co-located with SEMICON West 2011, Intersolar North America’s 839 exhibiting companies provided a spotlight on solar issues in the North American market within a global context.
According to the mid-year edition of the “SEMI Capital Equipment Forecast,” released by SEMI at the annual SEMICON West exposition, 2011 semiconductor equipment sales are projected to reach $44.33 billion. SEMICON West, which is the flagship event for the global microelectronics industry, featured exhibits, products, technical sessions, and solutions focused on the design and manufacture of semiconductors, MEMS, LEDs, photovoltaics, printed and flexible electronics, and related technologies.
