‘The Belt and Road’ initiative (B&R) promoted by the China government has again become a popular phrase in the international news, as China aims to resolve its over-capacity issue by expediting the development of the countries in the B&R region.
The initiative was actually first announced by President Shi Jinping in 2013 and a ‘Belt and Road Forum’ was held in May this year in Beijing, quoting the initiative as having a ‘hope to create a big family of co-existence’. So, will the cryogenic equipment industry or the China industrial gas industry really benefit from this initiative? Or how? This is an interesting topic for discussion among the region’s players.
