Canada’s industrial gas market generated revenues of approximately $1.90bn in 2018, with an average annual growth rate of 3.1% for the decade, which compares to the US’ market valuation of around $21.4bn.
The 2018 market leader in the Canadian industrial gas market was Praxair, which commanded a 38.0% market share with annual revenues of $723.5m in 2018. Air Liquide was the second largest company in Canada, accounting for revenues of $382.2m.
The most important supply mode, in revenue terms, was packaged gas with this method accounting for $765.9m of commercial revenue. The sale of bulk liquid produced a further $581m for the market, with respectable revenues of $493.1m being generated through onsite and pipeline delivery.
