SEMICON West
This year, Semicon West, the flagship event for the global microelectronics industry, celebrated its 40th year. The conference, held at the Moscone Center in San Fransisco, CA, featured exhibits, products, technical sessions, and solutions focused on the design and manufacture of semiconductors, MEMS, LEDs, photovoltaics, printed and flexible electronics, and related technologies.
Each year, SEMICON works to identify and incorporate new ideas, new segments, and new events, keeping the conference fresh and dynamic in an everchanging semiconductor and “semi-tool” arena. This year’s show was no exception.
The 2010 SEMICON West event hosted over 200 hours of technical and business sessions with 630 exhibiting companies from 20 countries. There were 90 co-exhibitors. The 1,141 booths displayed over 305 new products and more than 220 pieces of equipment, and featured over 190 product demonstrations.
