Turning up the heat in LNG

Founded in 1922, Watlow strives to be the leading provider of thermal solutions for the world’s most demanding applications. It engineers and manufactures electric thermal systems that solve the process heating needs of its customers and yet for many months of the gasworld year, Watlow might not necessarily have its name in the lights of our monthly pages.

But this is our annual LNG edition and it is in this field in particular that Watlow is a foremost authority, a designer and manufacturer of solutions for any of the process heating needs both in LNG export and import facilities, holding over 1,000 patents and boasting a global footprint with production and technology facilities in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

“Some of the process heating applications include regeneration of thermal swing absorption units (TSA), regeneration of amine units (ARU), tail gas treating unit (TGT), defrost gas and fuel gas heating,” says Dennis Long, Director of Global Marketing, Energy and Environmental Technologies, as he reflects on the company’s credentials. “We have a business segment with a focus on LNG and participate in several global LNG tradeshows.”
