Whether at -270°C or at over 400 bar – level indicators and valves from WEKA AG precisely and reliably measure and regulate liquids and gases. The global leader from Baeretswil in the Canton Zurich, Switzerland celebrate its 75th anniversary this year.
WEKA was founded by Arthur Welter and August Karrer 1940 and began with the production of pipe connections and lead fittings, before then also progressing to exposure meters for photography. In 1962, the company began the production of level indicators which show how full a tank is by means of magnetic floats which swim on top of the liquid surface. “The values are precisely and reliably shown, even through thick steel walls,” explains Michael Börsch, Head of Technology.
WEKA-Indicators are installed in tanks which are subjected to several hundred bar of pressure, and notes that customers often like to supplement these mechanical indicators with additional electronic sensors.
