- Air Products have completed spin off of the Electronic Materials business (as Versum) and has sold the Performance Materials business – together these represented the company’s Materials Technologies business. Analysis of historic performance has been adjusted to exclude the impact of such discontinued non-gas related businesses.
- Total reported corporate sales marginally up year-on-year (YoY) in CYQ4 by 1% at $1.88bn – this is the first increase in nearly two years. Including discontinued non-gas related businesses in prior year, total sales were down by around 20%.
- Operating income at $408m in Q4, showed a slowdown in YoY growth to 6%, its slowest growth since mid-2014.
- Significant non-GAAP items in Q4 included further $50m for cost reduction actions and $30m of business separation costs.
