The experimental industrial debugging of a new air separation unit, processing in the oxygen-compressor workshop of JSC Dnepr metallurgical plant of Dzerzhinskogo signals the start of operations at the plant.
The Ukrainian plant first gave out gases on 18th July this year, with the Russian company Krioimpeks, of Balashiha, constructing the assembly in the conditions of the operating workshop. The first oxygen entered the collector of the converter workshop and a supply will be extended to the blast-furnace department.
Based on the usual and expected performance of the blast-furnace operators, this department should consume 11,000m3 of oxygen per hour, increasing to 28-30,000m3 after the start-up of project power.
The production capacity of the aKAr-40/35 plant will reach up to 75,000m3 of oxygen per hour overall.
