A-Gas has received a UL international certification which verifies that the company’s supply of refrigerants, specialty gases and performance chemicals are fully compliant with market regulations.
Most specifically, the UL certification relates to the quality of the R227 (HCF227ea) fire suppressant that A-Gas supplies to customers. R227 is the dominant hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) used in fire suppressant systems in the UK and is mainly deployed in semiconductor manufacturing facilities, industrial process rooms and clean rooms.
Samples of A-Gas products were taken by the certification agency from the company’s state-of-the-art laboratory at its headquarters near Bristol, UK.
The certification confirms that the R227 was more than 99% pure with a moisture content of less than 10 parts per million (ppm) and a non-volatile residue percentage of less than 0.05.
