Matheson K-Air India Private Limited [MKI] has announced the commissioning of its second Indian helium transfill at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, approximately 70km southwest of Delhi.
MKI is already a key supplier of gaseous and liquid helium to customers throughout India from its existing helium distribution facility located at Chakan, Pune.
MKI’s Managing Director, Kiran Karnawat said, “With this expansion, MKI will be the first industrial gas supplier to have two helium transfills in India. The Delhi transfill will help MKI to widen its market presence, as it will enable us to enhance our service levels by being closer to our customers.”
According to Phil Kornbluth, Executive Vice President, International & Helium for Matheson, “Matheson supports MKI’s plans to expand its helium business in India. India is one of Matheson’s and our parent company, Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation’s, key markets targeted for investment and growth, not only for the helium business, but for our full product line of packaged, specialty and bulk liquid gases.”
