Abu Dhabi MENA Industrial Gases Conference makes welcome return 

The Abu Dhabi MENA Industrial Gases Conference 2022 makes a welcome return to the Middle East today, three years since the last one in the region and 15 years since gasworld’s inaugural event.

Following registration and a Welcome Reception at the Luna Lounge on the roof of the Yas Island Circuit Centre on Monday, delegates attending the sold-out, two-day event will hear leading industry figures speak about rapidly changing developments in the hydrogen, helium, carbon emissions and medical oxygen sectors.

Starting the programme at the Yas Island Conference Centre on Tuesday will be an opening keynote speech from Hamid Sabzikari, Vice-President and General Manager in the Middle East, Egypt & Turkey for Air Products, which is the event’s principal sponsor. Exhibitors will also be out in force promoting their latest products and services in the adjacent exhibition space. 

In the first session on ‘The hydrogen economy – developments in the Middle East’, David Edmondson, NEOM Green Hydrogen Company, will talk about NGHC and building the world’s largest green hydrogen plant; Raymond Ewart, Manager – Project Development at AMEA Power will present on ‘A green hydrogen ecosystem for MENA: water, wind, solar and ammonia’; and Tina Andersen, Head of Sales & Applications Engineering at Hystar, will share her insights on the the ‘Next generation of PEM electrolysers for the MENA region’.
