Afrox has won the contract to supply welding consumables and accessories to Sasol.
The contract is for the total welding consumables and accessories business of Sasol Synfuels in Secunda and Sasol Mining. The contract is worth more than five million rand per annum.
Nazmi Adams, Afrox’s general manager industrial products, said: We recognise the importance of developing close relationships with a world-class company such as Sasol and have geared ourselves to meeting the company’s unique requirements.
We developed the welding consumable products in conjunction with Sasol, specifically for their use. We now have off-the-shelf products, which we manufacture according to Sasol’s requirements and which perform to expectations for a very specialised and demanding welding application.
