The Linde Group member, Afrox has announced that Brett Kimber is to become the new Managing Director of the firm.
Brett Kimber is currently the Chief Executive of Linde Korea, but from January 2012, will be appointed Managing Director of African Oxygen Limited (Afrox).
Afrox is a specialist in industrial gases, welding and safety products. Kimber, who will be the tenth Managing Director in Afrox’s 84-year history, said, “To lead Afrox is a privilege I will shoulder with determination, drawing on a reservoir of practical experience gained within the industrial gases sector in South Africa and internationally.”
He added, “My aspiration is to ensure the Afrox group continues as a great company, one of the icons of industry in South Africa, and that it continues to grow for the benefit of customers, shareholders, employees and the communities in which we operate.”
