The meeting kicked off with a full day seminar with five main presentations by leading experts in the global gas industry followed by questions and discussion. As a special feature of the AIGA seminar, workshop sessions were conducted in the afternoon to help reinforce the concepts presented in the morning sessions.
The meeting showed the importance of transferring the safety knowledge to the new generation, said Mike Huggon of BOC and the president of AIGA.
This event was well attended by over 140 members and guests from most Asian countries, Europe and the US, and AIGA was very pleased to see twenty-five Chinese government technical administrators from various provinces attend the meeting, which was conducted with voice over translation in Chinese.
These important representatives of the different Chinese authorities reflected their positive impression of the high standard of safety regulations within AIGA member companies and they expressed their desire to see this kind of forum and training repeated for smaller regional companies.
