Air Liquide awarded NASA nitrogen contract

NASA has revealed that it has awarded Air Liquide Large Industries of Houston a contract for the supply of gaseous nitrogen and related services, for the Kennedy Space Centre and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract has an estimated valued of approximately $47.5m over the course of a five year period, which comprises of a three-year base period and a further two, one-year optional periods.

The contract will provide the continued supply of gaseous nitrogen for Kennedy and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, including the continued operations and maintenance of the Kennedy pipeline system. Air Liquide Large Industries will be required to provide personnel, materials, and the gaseous nitrogen production facility necessary to support current and future NASA launch programmes and activities at Kennedy and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station
