Air Liquide awarded US Defence contract

Air Liquide America of Houston, Texas is to be awarded a maximum $31.3m (approx.) firm fixed price contract for gaseous nitrogen from the US Defence Logistics Agency, according to a report detailing orders made by the US Defence Department.

The using service is the Air Force, while other locations of performance are California. There had originally been one sole source proposal solicited with one response. The date of performance completion is 31st October 2013.

Meanwhile the highlight of the report notes that, the US Navy will be awarding McDonnell Douglas Corp, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Co, a $139m ceiling-priced indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement of F/A-18F aircrew and maintainer systems, computer-based training systems and support for the Royal Australian Air Force under the Foreign Military Sales Program.
