This year’s Air Liquide Canada President’s Safety Awards ceremony was held at the company’s annual senior management team meeting in Montreal recently. The roll call honoured teams from Edmonton, Alberta and London, Ontario for their exceptional safety performance.
Luc Doyon, Air Liquide Canada’s president and C.O.O., explained the importance of the awards saying, $quot;The President’s Safety Awards program recognizes and rewards dedication to raising safety awareness and maintaining a safe workplace.$quot;
Air Liquide Canada’s South-western Ontario Customer Centre was named the Operating Unit with the best long-term safety achievement and Manager Jamie Barone and Safety Facilitator Carol Kruspel were happy to accept the award on their team’s behalf. Air Liquide Canada’s Edmonton Liquid Supply Centre was named the Operating Unit with the best improvement in safety performance. Safety Facilitator Stacy Weis accepted the award on behalf of Manager Hank Bouwman and the team.
Mr Doyon also reinforced the company’s strong line on promoting safety saying, $quot;Air Liquide strongly promotes the enrichment of our employees’ performance through the recognition of their achievements. Nowhere is this more important than in the area of safety.$quot;
