Air Liquide, Eni to boost Italy’s hydrogen mobility market with new deal

In a move that will boost Italy’s zero-emissions mobility market, Air Liquide and Eni have today (Nov 4) unveiled plans to develop multiple hydrogen stations across the country.

Under a letter intent, the duo have said they will study the development of the entire renewable hydrogen supply chain to ensure the production, transportation, storage and distribution of the energy carrier is to a high standard.

Although no refuelling site locations have been unveiled, the partnership aim to identify strategic locations as they carry out the venture. 

On the plans, Pascal Vinet, Senior Vice-President and a member of the Air Liquide Group’s Executive Committee supervising Europe Industries activities, said, “Decarbonising the transport sector is a major challenge of the energy transition.”
