Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions, the engineering and construction activity of the Air Liquide group, has acquired the LiquefinTM liquefied natural gas (LNG) technology to add to its existing portfolio of LNG liquefaction technologies.
This new acquisition is a dual mixed refrigerant cycle, best adapted to mid and large sized plants, and provides the most competitive LNG product per tonne. The company acquired this technology from fellow French business, IFPEN, which is a public research corporation.
This new addition means the industrial gas giant now covers the entire spectrum of applications, from small to large scale, and expands offerings of equipment and services to help accelerate the global transition of the energy sector.
