Air Liquide has reaffirmed its commitment to hydrogen-powered heavy-duty mobility, having today (Oct 12) inked a joint development agreement with Faurecia to develop on-board liquid hydrogen storage systems.
Believed by the duo to be a particularly apt solution for long-haul applications, liquid hydrogen can offer twice the autonomy of similar vehicles running on gaseous hydrogen, whilst still boasting short refuelling times.
In order to ensure a smooth development process for the on-board liquid hydrogen storage systems, the partnership will utilise Air Liquide’s expertise across the entire liquid hydrogen value chain and Faurecia’s architecture and system integration skills.
