Air Liquide inks multiple agreements to accelerate hydrogen activities in South Korea

Air Liquide has today (July 27) announced three newly signed agreements to accelerate the development of a low-carbon hydrogen society in South Korea – and plans include hydrogen liquefaction plants and multiple hydrogen refuelling facilities.

By partnering with local industrial and intuitional players, the industrial gas giant wants to invest across the entire hydrogen supply chain in the country, including from production to storage, as well as distribution and application developments for end users. 

Already making great headway in its ambitions, Air Liquide has inked three new agreements, the first of which is with global clean energy and solutions provider SK E&S to supply what is believed to be the world’s largest hydrogen liquefaction plant with a capacity of 90 tonnes per day of liquid hydrogen to serve the mobility markets.

Second to that, the company has also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LOTTE Chemical to co-invest in new high-pressure hydrogen filling centres and hydrogen stations.
