Air Liquide has inaugurated its fifth public hydrogen (H2) station in Mülheim an der Ruhr in partnership with Orlen.
After the stations opened in Düsseldorf and recently in Offenbach am Main, Kamen and Limburg an der Lahn, the Mülheim station is the fifth station installed by Air Liquide in Germany within the framework of the Clean Energy Partnership (CEP).
The H2 station designed by Air Liquide is integrated into a ‘Star’ petrol station already operated by Orlen. Open to the public, it enables to fuel around 40 fuel-cell electric vehicles per day in less than five minutes with an average driving range of 500 kilometers. This new station marks an important step in the construction of a nationwide network of 400 H2 stations across the country by 2023, within the framework of the Clean Energy Partnership and H2 Mobility with the support of the German government and the European Union.
