Air Liquide strengthens hydrogen prospects in Europe and Korea following meeting with Korean President

Air Liquide has accelerated the deployment of its hydrogen (H2) infrastructure in both Europe and Korea following a visit from Korean President, Park Geun-hye.

Guen-hye met with Benoît Potier, Chairman and CEO of the Air Liquide Group at the Tier One corporation’s site in Grenoble where both parties committed to increasing the number of H2 stations, as well as increasing the number of fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) fleets, across both Europe and Korea.

Following deals with Korean car manufacturer, Hyundai, Air Liquide will accelerate the rollout of its H2 infrastructure throughout the North Pacific rim country, fuelling wide scale acceptance of FCEVs.

We will together move forward towards an accelerated development of H2 mobility in Europe and Korea

 

In Europe, a similar deal will see Air Liquide develop FCEV fleet projects. The corporation has already installed the first H2 station in Paris to serve the Hype Taxi fleet, which currently comprises five Hyundai ix-35 FCEVs. The aim is to increase this taskforce to 70 vehicles.
