Air Products and Linde sign a teaming agreement

Air Products and Linde recently announced the signing of a teaming agreement to pursue refrigeration services for the proposed International Linear Collider (ILC).

The two tier 1 companies will work on the proposed international linear collider by combining their industry know-how in the business of providing, operating, and maintaining the cryogenic equipment for the ILC.

A site for the ILC has not been confirmed, however, production test site refrigerators and related equipment for the ILC may be selected in 2007, with overall project bids to occur in 2010.

John Urbin, business manager for Linde cryogenics at Linde Process Plants, said: $quot;Following the anticipated accomplishment of the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) project, the ILC will provide a more focused view into the fundamental makeup of matter.$quot;
